David Maes, Project Lead at , takes us inside the making of Billyard Ave - a project steeped in Elizabeth Bay’s storied architectural character, reinterpreted through a distinctly contemporary eye.

To realise SJB’s vision, we developed a custom brick palette from the ground up. Krause Klad shingles anchor the base of the building, their tone flowing seamlessly into the custom long-format Emperor bricks above. The result, as David notes, is a facade that’s alive - the handmade texture of the brickwork shifting and revealing itself as the light moves across it throughout the day.
