NutWare | Doing their job to keep your nuts safe, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are about outdoor exploration, surfing, fishing, biking, 4wd adventure and treading lightly on our environment. We've turned our pastimes into a family business, providing Coloured Wheel Indicators for 4wds, caravans, camper trailers & boat trailers - any trailers, really! Our Australian Made indicators are designe

d to withstand the harsh Australian conditions. Equipping your four-wheel drive, caravan or trailer with extended wheel nut indicators is a preventative safety measure with many benefits. Wheel nut indicators are mandatory on mine sites, in government agencies and in industries heavily reliant on fleet vehicles. NutWare aims to provide this same level of safety and assistance to the everyday driver with the simple extended wheel nut indicator. Our Indicators | Loose and missing wheel nuts can result in the detaching of wheels; this can obviously have disastrous effects on your vehicle, your safety and the safety of other road users. Our extended wheel nut indicators are designed to fit firmly on the wheel nut to show upon visual inspection, if a wheel nut has come loose or is in fact missing. When wheel nut indicators are fitted in a uniform pattern, any movement is clearly visible, allowing for immediate action to be taken. By visually identifying the first signs of nut movement with a simple walk around of your vehicle, you will be able to act immediately to rectify the issues, find the cause and prevent further damage. Effective use of wheel nut indicators will save you time and money, and may even save a life. With their cap design, extended wheel nut indicators also protect the wheel nuts from damage, mud, dirt and dust, making a tyre change easier. They are made from tough, UV stabilised engineering grade plastic, to suit the harsh Australian conditions. Extended wheel nut indicators must be fitted correctly, with the correct size and pattern application. This is essential to their efficiency. Size | For the correct wheel nut indicator size, you will need to measure your wheel nuts. Measure the nut from flat to flat, using a spanner, Vernier gauge or well-fitting socket. Fit | You will be able to fit NutWare indicators yourself. They are fixed firmly to the wheel nut by gripping the six corners of the nut’s hexagon. The indicator should fit firmly on the nut. Our extended wheel nut indicators are designed to fit vehicles with recessed nuts including alloy and chrome mags. They are also suited to factory steel rims depending on your personal choice and the look you are after. Pattern Application | The indicators must be set in a uniform pattern. Any pattern will work as long as movement of indicators is clearly visible. The pointer must have room to move and should not be aligned against the rim. When this pattern is checked regularly, any deviations from the normal pattern will alert you to a loosening or missing nut and allow you to take immediate action. Recommendations | Fitting wheel nut indicators should not replace your regular or recommended preventative safety maintenance, however they will give you an on the spot, real time alert, when fitted correctly. It is advised that you continue your regular maintenance program - to check wheel nuts, studs, rims and threads for damage and re-torque as required as per the manufacturer’s recommendations for your vehicle. Fitting wheel nut indicators will compliment and assist your safety and maintenance program.

About us...

Doing loads of kms in our family four wheel drive, we have personally experienced both Wheel Loss and Bearing Collapse while travelling and towing - It's dangerous, stressful, scary, expensive and also a huge waste of time, especially when you're away on precious holidays, or trying to get out to a job.

We came across some yellow Loose Wheel Nut Indicators on a work vehicle and educated ourselves about their safety applications. Now, we would not consider going anywhere without them.

As well as the obvious safety benefits, we also loved the look of them… the only problem was, we couldn't find anywhere to buy a set! After searching high and low, checking all the major (and minor) 4wd accessory suppliers, we eventually found an Aussie Made Wheel Nut Indicator...
