So this is the car from my story that came in with 6 550cc injectors and 2 1000cc lol, after I put a set of injectors in it and got that dialled I ran it up with the existing setup, keep in mind this thing has log manifolds with like 1.5” crossover pipe and runners all feeding a gt35 so it’s all massively undersized for a 5.7L engine, it came in with a crazy loopy 3” exhaust that had a cheapo 100 cell style car converter in it, I ran it up as is and had suspicions the exhaust even tho it was a good exit was super restrictive so I cut the cat out and with no other changes it picked up some boost and like 80hp. I then proceeded to junk the whole lot and remake it in 3.5” with less bends and length and it ended up 113hp up from the baseline run with no boost duty cycles changes however it picked up like 4psi just from the restriction being removed

Here’s a crazy one, it is possible to have TOO much wastegate depending on the specific combo, this car had a smallish turbo with a smallish turbine housing making it very hard for a large 60mm gate to control a low boost level, contrary to how you would think basic logic would work 🥴 previous setup was a 60mm gate with 7 and 3 psi springs it did the exact same thing.. Swapped it out for a 50mm gate with no other changes whatsoever and it makes 4 psi on a 7psi spring 🤷🏻‍♂️

Torana we recently had in to modify the existing log manifolds for a larger diameter and fit up the new g50 pulsar turbo, not typically the type of manifold we’d use on a setup like this but due to space constraints it’s all that will fit, we can only work with the space we’re given. Fabbed it all up and stuck it on the dyno and made over 1000hp, next stop is the track!

The we just fitted a g50 turbo to and gave it a little tickle up, we’re up about 140hp at the same boost level and down on egt’s compared the last turbo, that’s enough for the moment see how fast it goes and make some changes for more later on!

Crazy gains in low rpm torque and hp with vvti and intake runner Length active vs not ! Interesting stuff, this thing came in with the vvti and the intake runner actuator not working, got all of these working and picked up bucket loads of torque

Typical blower problems (the belt) 🤣 stout vk in making just under 800hp with fdfi 2650 on e85…. Really gotta figure out a fix for the light show. If anyone has any idea what causes the interference with our led high bays when we load the dyno up please hit the dm’s
