G,day everyone! Hope you are all enjoying the long weekend 🏕️ apologies for the page being quiet, it has been an extremely busy 3 months especially with the arrival of the future apprentice 👶🏼
Keep an eye out over the next couple of weeks to see what I’ve been up too, but I’ll start with the machines.
All cracks gouged, cleaned, backing plate and welded with quality lincoln 71-EH wire👌🏼💪🏼

Photo 1-2: 2 of the most common crack points sorted on a Cat 20 tonne digger.

Photo 3-6: a couple of decent cracks on the track frame and slew ring on a Volvo 25 tonne digger which had previously been repaired but didn’t last.

Photo 7: hardfacing on the log grabs of a Cat 980 loader.

Photo 8-9: small crack repair on a set of excavator log grabs.

Photo 10-11: multiple cracks repaired on a 20 tonne tilt hitch.

Photo 12-15: a decent crack on a 20 tonne stick with a couple of smaller ones to sort out too.

Photo 16-21: removed old bent step, fabricated and installed new step. Belly plate had also been smashed in, so new mounts welded in and bolted back together.

Photo 22-23: crack repair on a forwarders log cradle, I plated this one after the repair to prevent further cracking.

Photo 24-25: Complimentary big rig photos 🛻 📸

Typical west coast weather 🌦️ but that didn’t stop me from getting 2 machines back up and running today👌🏼

1st job: A big crack in the track frame of a harvester gouged out, straightened, backing plates in, welded and peened.

2nd job: A smaller crack in the grab on a forwarder cut out, welded and peened.

Whether the sun is shining☀️or it’s bucketing down🌧️ give me a ring for any breakdown!

This wood splitter is a beast! It would be good to know how many kilometres of wood it’s split!🪵💪🏼

It came in abit fatigued so I put a new splitting deck, knifes with a new configuration as requested and the bottom discharge plate on more of an angle.

All preheated and welded with 71-EH wire so this will last many more kilometres of splitting!
