Greg walks us through how Bowen's smarter storage solution and automated integration came together to support efficient workflow throughout the new Glassons Distribution Centre.

Custom-designed with an automation partner, the conveyor system connects the warehouse, including the mezzanine floor and automated picking cells. Running through the base of the racking, the system also minimises the warehouse footprint and preserves valuable warehouse space.

For incoming pallets, the BR1000 racking system provides a high-quality storage solution designed and tested to the Australian Standard 4084-2023.

The result? A streamlined warehouse environment designed around efficiency, space utilisation and future growth.

From two warehouses to one high-capacity facility, Omni Group partnered with Bowen to create a more streamlined foundation for growth.

Located in Epping, Victoria, the new 9,000m² facility features a tailored Bowen storage solution designed around Omni Group's operational requirements, incorporating 220 shelf levels and 7,600 pallet spaces.

The result is a more efficient warehouse environment that maximises the available footprint, improves product accessibility and provides a scalable foundation for future expansion.

One of our latest warehouse projects for Glassons saw the Bowen team work with TMX Transform to build a warehouse environment designed for automation and efficiency.

Overall, we installed:

✔️ 2,200 pallet locations of BR1000 selective racking.
✔️ 200 bays of hand pick long span racking with sloped shelving to make picking easy and quick.
✔️ 375 sqm Mezzanine floor constructed above half of the long span racking.

We successfully navigated working with the team to consider all design and construction requirements to meet stringent codes to achieve a fully compliant warehouse solution.
