A small detail that makes a big difference at the wall-to-floor junction 🔧

The recessed channel in the Stile Board floor panel is designed to create a controlled and secure connection between the wall and floor panels.

The wall panel sits directly into the recess, allowing the gasket and Stile Flex sealant to be properly compressed and packed around the junction, helping create a continuous, protected seal at one of the most critical areas of a wet-area installation.

It’s another example of how Stile Board has been designed as a complete system, not simply a collection of panels.

Getting the right size without losing the fall 📐

The Stile Board 4 Way Slope Panel starts at 1200 × 1200mm and can be cut down to suit the required floor area.

This animation shows the panel being marked and cut to 980 × 980mm, while keeping the pre-formed falls directed towards the floor waste.

A simple way to get the panel to fit the space and keep the drainage working as intended 💧

Dry-lay before you fix 📐

Before applying adhesive or sealant, take a few extra minutes to lay out the floor panels and check that everything lines up properly.

Check the panel orientation, drain position, perimeter heights, joints, doorway transitions and shower recess alignment before committing to the installation.

It’s a simple step, but it can save a lot of time and adjustments later.

The wall-to-floor connection is one of those parts of the installation that can make a big difference later on.

When installing the wall panel, apply a generous, continuous bead of Stile Flex sealant into the recessed floor-panel channel. Once the panel is firmly bedded into position, you should see consistent squeeze-out along the junction — a good indication that the joint has been properly filled.

✔️ Use a continuous bead
✔️ Bed the wall panel firmly into the recess
✔️ Check for consistent squeeze-out
✔️ Tool off the excess

The key is simple: fill the joint, don’t just cover it.
