Sometimes they just need us to notice. 💛

My son asked for the day off school, and when I looked at him, I could see how exhausted he was.

So I said yes, but sat with do I say yes or no for a bit.
I didn’t give my answer straight away. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Then I got thinking while I was getting ready for the day.

Sometimes they need rest. Sometimes they need their mum. And sometimes we need the day just as much as they do. 💛

The emails waited.
The to-do list waited.
I just hung out with my son.

Because one day he won’t ask to stay home and spend the day with me. Instead he will want it to be with his friends.

And while I have the freedom to say yes every now and then…I will. 💛
