Part one of the new series out today to kick off the uni break. Falcon could use some more driveline reliability so we are opting to keep the factory fitted 4 speed configuration and beef it up!

Lui Salamat laying down some solid power and some 658nm of torque after being tuned down safely by Dark Horse performance. I rebuilt and fitted a new motor as well as fabricated a 45mm external wastegate after the original threw a rod. The motor contains billet oil pump gears, valve springs, a new head gasket and semi-overhaul.

Finally managed to wipe some of the dust of an FG greentop assembly I tore down last year and checked main clearances with a BF crank. The clearances are a touch above what I'm after and will require half 0.001' oversized bearings. Everything will be off to hotwash and ultrasonic in the next week and then it is time for some assembly.

Been a while but finally have another video up. This video I teardown an FG barra engine that has had a hard life. Fortunately the block will be okay for a forged build if it passes sonic testing which I'll look at doing in a week or two.

Over the past few days I have come up with some solid design work for a connecting rod solution to suits turbo Barra engines BA-FG. Factory conrods are a known weak point of the engines and limit any serious torque especially being made. These conrods will significantly strengthen the bottom end and alongside a well balanced crankshaft and good alloy pistons, will be capable of big power with the right material. I aim to predominantly produce these using hand-forged 4340 stock and experiment with some titanium alloys for destroked high rpm in the future. Stay Tuned!

Hi all, I am glad to announce that TBS is in the final works and soon to be operating as a formal business. I have been running the business privately for the past 6 months or so by word of mouth for tuning locally in the Perth area. I'll be offering basic tuning services for Ford Barra's initially, as well as various fitments, modifications and sale of developed aftermarket. Keep an eye out as I plan to offer a greater variety of services and parts in the near future.
