Sometimes replacing the hose isn’t enough. Fix WHY it failed. 🔧

Sean was called out to replace a blown hose on the bucket rotation cylinder of a Caterpillar 308 Excavator.

The existing hose had a straight connection that was getting hit as the bucket moved. Rather than simply replacing it like-for-like, Sean fitted a 45° hose end, giving the hose better clearance and helping prevent the same problem happening again.

A small change that can make a big difference to hose life and machine downtime.

When a hay cutter needs attention, every hour counts. Sean was out in Bogan Gate today helping a local farmer get ready for hay cutting by re-hosing the entire machine. In total, 15 hydraulic hoses of varying sizes and lengths were replaced, getting the machine back into shape and ready for the paddock.
