💨Is your compressor might be working harder than it needs to?

Sometimes it's not the compressor that's the problem. 👀

Something as simple as a dirty filter, blocked cooler, poor ventilation, air leaks or having the pressure set higher than it needs to be can make your compressor work overtime.

And the harder it works, the more power it uses.. 💸

A few small things can make a pretty big difference to how efficiently your system runs. It's worth keeping an eye on - especially if the power bill seems to be creeping up!

📚💨Book Week…. Powered by air! Who knew? 🤣

While most parents were checking out the costumes at last week's book week parades, we were noticing something else… 👀

The inflatables!

Yep - those giant dinosaurs, minions and questionable-looking characters waddling around the school grounds are inflated by a tiny electric blower constantly pushing air into the costume. 💨

Now it's not quite the compressors and blowers that we're used to dealing with... but hey, air is air. 😂

Coal dust gets everywhere…. But it doesn't have to get in here..👀

Coal dust inside a pneumatic control box can cause plenty of problems. It can work its way into valves, solenoids, exhaust ports and electrical connections, leading to sticking components, premature wear, air leaks and unwanted downtime.

Regular cleaning and good sealing are important, but in dusty environments there's another option - pressurising the enclosure.

By maintaining a slight positive pressure inside the box with clean, dry compressed air, we can help keep coal dust and other contaminants from being drawn in.
