A stunning shot captured by our Industrial team! Onsite, embracing the best part of the day overlooking a well-irrigated cotton crop on the beautiful Darling Downs.

The star of the show is the impressive Valley Irrigation Linear Irrigator. Powered by a 5L Volvo Penta Industrial engine, this machine works non-stop overnight, delivering the perfect amount of water to the crop.

It's the first machine in our new series of exciting videos highlighting the diverse applications and operating conditions of Volvo Penta's heavy-duty industrial diesel engines supplied and supported by our network here in Queensland.

🛑 A slight delay on the road in Central Queensland this week... but for a good cause!

Our Industrial team had an unexpected (and delightful) encounter when a family of emus decided to casually cross their path. 🦩 After a few photos (and plenty of bad emu-crossing-the-road jokes), they continued on their way to the site, where they met with the customer and our local dealer Gladstone Machinery Maintenance to inspect and service four Volvo Penta TAD1142VE Industrial Engines powering farm irrigation.

Another reminder that no two days on the road are the same - especially out west! 🚜🌾

That's a wrap on a fantastic three days at the 2024 Australian Cotton Conference!

This event gets bigger and better every time and this year was no disappointment.

We joined 120 exhibitors and 2,900 attendees on the beautiful Gold Coast. It was great to catch up with customers and industry members, and activate our exciting Volvo Penta Industrial engine promotion.

Two heavy duty D16MH – 600HP engines fitted with ZF Transmissions prepped and ready for delivery to a valued marine commercial client. This is the second set of D16 engines in the fleet for this Far North Queensland passenger transport operator, choosing to repower from the existing power units to Volvo Penta at Sea .

Exhaust extensions measured, designed and fabricated ✅

Last week, with our interstate colleagues, we visited the Volvo Penta at Sea and Volvo Penta on Land headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was a wonderful week learning about future technologies in the Marine Commercial and Industrial segments.

Among the many highlights was the tour of Skövde foundry and assembly plant, home of the famous 13-litre and 16-litre engine. From molten ore to complete engine, it is eye-opening to see the process, passion and precision involved.

Special thanks to the team Volvo Penta for your fantastic Swedish hospitality and for taking the time to share your valuable knowledge and insights, and to the local team at Volvo Penta Oceania for organising and hosting a great trip. Exciting times ahead as we grow and transform our business to support Volvo Penta's vision of being the global leader in sustainable power solutions.
