πŸ”§ Morse Cables – the name may be familiar, but choosing the right replacement isn't always so simple!

If you've ever searched for a Morse, Teleflex or push-pull control cable, you'll know there can be a lot of different options β€” 30 Series, 40 Series, 60 Series, different travels, lengths and end fittings.

So… how do you know which one is actually right for your application?

That's where 30+ years of Multiflex Australia experience comes in.

We've put together a new article that takes a closer look at:

πŸ‘‰ Version 3 / 30 Series cables
πŸ‘‰ Version 4 / 40 Series cables
πŸ‘‰ Version 6 / 60 Series cables
πŸ‘‰ How the different cable series compare
πŸ‘‰ What to consider when selecting a replacement
πŸ‘‰ Why technical advice can make all the difference
πŸ‘‰ Australian assembly and custom cable solutions
πŸ‘‰ How to order online through Industrial & Cable Group

Because replacing a control cable shouldn't be a guessing game.

Not sure what you need? Ask us. Our team can help you work through the application and identify the cable that best meets your requirements.

πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί 30+ years of experience. Australian assembly. Technical advice you can rely on.

πŸ”© Ball joints. Small component. Surprisingly big potential for confusion. πŸ˜‚

Metric or UNF?
Fixed or quick release?
Plated steel or stainless steel?
And what on earth does 10-32 UNF actually mean?!

If you've ever found yourself staring at a tiny ball joint thinking β€œSurely identifying this should be easier…” β€” you're not alone!

Our sister company, Industrial & Cable Group, has put together a handy Ball Joint Selection Guide to take some of the guesswork out of choosing the right component.

The guide compares the range by:

βœ”οΈ Thread size
βœ”οΈ Stud size
βœ”οΈ Metric vs UNF
βœ”οΈ Plated steel vs stainless steel
βœ”οΈ Fixed vs quick disconnect
βœ”οΈ Common control cable applications

It's technical information without making you feel like you need a degree in mechanical engineering just to order a ball joint. πŸ˜‰

At Multiflex Australia, we know that the small components matter. Getting the right connection between a control cable and the mechanism it operates can make all the difference to a properly functioning mechanical control system.

πŸ‘‰ Read the Ball Joint Selection Guide via Industrial & Cable Group.

Because sometimes the smallest part of the system deserves the biggest explanation.

Compare control cable ball joints by size, thread, material and type. Find the right metric, UNF, plated steel or stainless steel ball joint.

πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί **IT’S CENSUS DAY!**

Today Australia is counting people, households and all the things that make our country what it is.

At Multiflex Australia, we’re more interested in counting something slightly different…

🚀 Boats on the water
🎯 Perfect steering turns
πŸ”§ Reliable steering systems
β˜€οΈ Days spent enjoying the water
😎 And, of course, the number of times someone says: *β€œLet’s just stay out a little longer.”*

Because while the Census is busy counting Australia…

We’ll keep helping Australia’s boats stay on course. πŸ›₯️

Happy Census Day from the team at Multiflex Australia!

🀝 Great people. Strong partnerships. One Multiflex team πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡³πŸ‡Ώ

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming delegates from Multiflex Marine β€” Saket and Manish β€” for a visit with our New Zealand distributor, Advance Trident Limited, led by Blair and the fantastic Advance Trident team.

Joining them was our very own Boss Man, Mark, making it a great opportunity to bring together the people behind the Multiflex brand β€” suppliers, assemblers, distributors and partners β€” all working together to deliver quality products and great service across the market.

And judging by the smiles and thumbs up… it was a pretty successful visit! πŸ‘πŸ˜„

Building strong relationships is at the heart of what we do. Visits like this give us the chance to share ideas, strengthen connections, understand each other's businesses and, most importantly, continue moving forward together.

A big thank you to the Advance Trident team for the warm welcome and to Saket and Manish from Multiflex Marine for making the trip.

Here’s to strong partnerships, great people and plenty more thumbs up ahead! πŸ‘πŸ‘

For years, people have predicted that mechanical steering would disappear.

Yet thousands of new boats across Australia continue to be fitted with mechanical steering every single year.

Why?

Because it simply works.

βœ” Reliable
βœ” Affordable
βœ” Easy to install
βœ” Low maintenance
βœ” Proven for decades

If your boat is up to 150 HP, mechanical steering may still be the smartest choice.

Our latest blog explores why mechanical steering continues to dominate recreational boating and introduces the Multiflex Pioneer Planetary 150 and Pioneer Non-Reaction 150 steering kits.

πŸ”§πŸ”©Ball Joints, Rod Ends or Clevises... do you know the difference?

When a mechanical control system isn't performing as it should, the control cable often gets the blame. But worn linkage components can be just as responsible for poor performance, lost motion and premature wear.

Our latest blog, The Complete Guide to Ball Joints, Rod Ends & Clevises, explains:
βœ” What each component does
βœ” Where they're used
βœ” Which industries rely on them
βœ” When they should be replaced
βœ” Why replacing the complete linkageβ€”not just the cableβ€”can improve reliability and extend equipment life.

Whether you work in agriculture, mining, transport, construction, marine, manufacturing or heavy industry, this guide is packed with practical information to help keep your equipment operating accurately and reliably.
