A curved roof brings its own set of rules, and none are straightforward.

Macarthur Anglican School's vision for The Warren Integrated Studies HUB resulted in a design involving multiple radii and careful coordination so the arc could swing and return as intended 📐

Fulton Trotter Architects, engineers and Lysaght collaborated to refine the details, landing an outcome that suited both the building and the school community.

🌟 Introducing the student behind the Warlpiri Cultural Centre.

Sienna Dichiera was studying at Adelaide University when she entered and won the 2025 Student Award, using work she had already completed. The concept, for Yuendumu on Warlpiri Country, puts a LYSAGHT® CUSTOM ORB® roof in COLORBOND® steel Manor Red® over pods gathered around an open-air yarning space, fire pit at the heart, with the roofline drawn from the rock formations of the Tanami Desert.

🚉 Five new stations. One line. One clean steel skin running the length of it.

Perth's inner Armadale Line hadn't been substantially upgraded in about 120 years. As part of METRONET, the rail was lifted over the road, the level crossings that had split the suburbs came out, and five elevated stations opened from Carlisle to Beckenham, with a 7km linear park underneath and a reopening date that couldn't move.

🌾 Introducing The Silos Accommodation near Junee, a 7-star, off-grid retreat with the numbers to back it up.

The project runs off-grid at a 7-star NatHERS rating, on solar generation and harvested rainwater, with a worm farm septic system handling waste on site. When the original slab came up, it was broken and relaid as paving rather than trucked off the property.

LYSAGHT® MINI ORB® cladding continues the ribbed character of the 1960s LYSAGHT® grain silos the retreat was built from, so the new work feels like it’s always been there.

Designed by Cooee Architecture for a sixth-generation farming family, the project won the 2025 Sustainable Design Award in the Lysaght Inspirations Design Awards.

Introducing Myocum Magic in the Byron Shire hinterland, where the climate did a lot of the designing.

Several key decisions led to the home’s relaxed, tropical luxe vibe. A 20-degree solar orientation to catch the winter sun and shed the summer heat. Burnished concrete floors doing the thermal work. A plan that maximises airflow throughout. LYSAGHT® ENSEAM® cladding specified for fire resistance and for the long haul. 🏡

Introducing the Edmund Rice Centre at Emmanuel College Warrnambool, a Year 9 learning hub built for daily student use.

Architecture for education has a hard brief of flexibility for the way teaching actually works, with durability for hundreds of students a day.

The centre is organised around the college's 9@RICE program, with teaching spaces that reconfigure through the day rather than lock into one arrangement. LYSAGHT® SPANDEK® walling and KLIP-LOK® roofing carry the exterior, chosen for the coastal conditions of southwest Victoria and a finish that stays clean.

Designed by Baldasso Cortese Architects, winner of the 2025 Regional Design Award in the Lysaght Inspirations Design Awards 🌟
