Lysaght is a business of BlueScope in Australia and has been manufacturing steel building products for residential and non-residential projects across Australia for over 150 years. Throughout this long history, Lysaght is well know for the extensive technical expertise offered by our people across a national network of locations Australia-wide. Today, Lysaght manufacture, primarily via a process known as rollforming, an extensive range of finished steel building products, including roofing, guttering and fascia, walling, fencing, framing and formwork, in addition to solutions such as patios, carports and walkways. Lysaght has delivered breakthrough innovations to the Australian building and construction industry, including CUSTOM ORB® corrugated cladding, KLIP-LOK® concealed-fix cladding and BONDEK® composite steel formwork. We’re proud to manufacture all our products from Australian made steel supplied by BlueScope, including leading coated and painted steel products such as COLORBOND® and ZINCALUME® steel. Old Coast by Adam Roger of South Coast Building Design has won the Lysaght Category at the Design Awards, presented at the National Festival of Design in Canberra.

Set into steep coastal bushland and built to BAL-29 bushfire requirements, the home's upper level is wrapped in LYSAGHT ENSEAM® cladding in COLORBOND® steel Night Sky®. The dark finish takes its cue from the surrounding bush, and the vertical seams add shadow and depth above the pale masonry below.

🌟 Introducing Larnangurrak (Our Place), Overall Winner of the 2026 Lysaght Inspirations Design Awards. It also takes out Commercial and Industrial Design, for a combined $15,000 prize. 🏆

The Dja Dja Wurrung community shaped this one from the start. Through ongoing Wartaka sessions with Y2 Architecture, they set the form, materials and landscape of a working base for DJAARA in Golden Square, Victoria.

The walls fold like the rock formations they reference, clad in ochre LYSAGHT LONGLINE 305® with KLIP-LOK® on the roof, built by Searle Bros.

🌟 The 2026 Lysaght Inspirations Design Awards winners are here, led by Overall Winner Larnangurrak (Our Place) by Y2 Architecture. 🏆

This year's winners include a community centre designed with the Dja Dja Wurrung people, a barn-style home in Chandler, a modular retreat in the Blue Mountains, eco-lodges airlifted onto Anangu Country and a Passive House student concept. The Uluru-Kata Tjuta eco-lodges also won the public vote for People's Choice. Congratulations to all.

Every LYSAGHT AZURE® panel is folded from a single piece of COLORBOND® steel on a robotic line, so the face, the returns and the fixing legs are formed together. That's what holds the flatness and the tight tolerances across runs of up to 150 metres, from Carlisle to Beckenham.

How the system helped deliver to deadline:
🏭 Offsite robotic folding, about one panel a minute, for high volume at consistent quality
🧰 Pre-drilled, mastic-free panels that two people can lift instead of three
🇦🇺 Made and pressed in Perth and across Australia, not imported
☀️ COLORBOND® steel durability, with WA rain helping wash the exposed elevations

There is a lot of roof on show at Three Birds Renovations House 18, so the profile had to work as a design feature rather than sit in the background. Erin from Three Birds Renovations explains why LYSAGHT LONGLINE 305® in COLORBOND® steel Evening Haze® was the choice.

We're proud to be a partner on The Farmhouse, Cherie Barber's boldest renovation series yet.

has swapped city living for an acreage in Western Sydney, where she's refurbishing a tired rural property into a modern farmhouse that's built to live in and cheaper to run. It's no small feat: a main residence and a separate guest house to build, bushfire requirements to meet, and native wildlife on site, snakes and eagles included. And it's filmed as everything plays out on-site, with a little help from Tinnie, a humanoid robot on the tools.
