Feel like a drive to the town of historic Maldon - this would be a great weekend to do it! Maldon Primary Schools' Market and Fair is always held on The Melbourne Cup weekend. Gates open at 8am - 3 pm. The Market day boasts over 100 high quality art and craft stalls, fabulous food with locally made gourmet pies and pasties, a tasty barbeque, coffee and cold drinks. There are a number of fantastic
fun activities for the kids. These include a Giant jumping castle, Ambah the face painter, a Balloonologist walking around the grounds making a variety of balloon things. And if you’re game, get a crazy hairstyle, with ribbons, flowers and bright colours. There is live music and entertainment in the main marquee starting with “welcome to country” played on the Didgeridoo. Poetry by our own students. We also try to have various workshops, where the audience can join in. The market is held in the picturesque grounds of the historic heritage listed school in High street Maldon and has been running for over 20 years. It is our major annual fundraiser for the school with funds raised on the day going directly back into the school to provide more opportunities and equipment for the 104 children attending. There is plenty of free parking and entry is by gold coin donation so come and enjoy a fun day out in the sun!
