⛏️ One of the Bowen Basin's biggest potential future mining projects remains alive.
BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) continues preserving the proposed Saraji East Project near Dysart, keeping the option open for a major new metallurgical coal development in Central Queensland.
While no final investment decision has been made, Saraji East remains a closely watched project due to its potential to support future jobs, contractor opportunities and regional economic activity across the Bowen Basin.
The project could create opportunities for:
🔹 Mining Services
🔹 Civil Construction
🔹 Engineering & Fabrication
🔹 Heavy Haulage
🔹 Equipment Hire
🔹 Mechanical & Electrical Services
🔹 Regional Suppliers & Contractors
The timing of any future development will likely depend on market conditions, project economics and ongoing discussions around Queensland's coal royalty framework.
