When downtime isn’t an option, having the right component ready to go can make all the difference.

Our Service Exchange Program gives mining and heavy earthmoving operations access to pre-built engines and components.

The big advantage of the program is reducing downtime. If a component fails in a machine, we can have an exchange component sitting on the shelf ready to go. It gets out to site, gets the machine going again and the removed component comes back to us to be rebuilt.

By the time an engine reaches this stage, the hard work has already been done.

Critical measurements have been completed, components have been inspected, restored or replaced where required, and all mating surfaces have been carefully prepared before assembly begins.

For this CAT C27 rebuild, we've now reached the assembly stage:
✔ Valve covers installed
✔ Exhaust manifold fitted
✔ Engine block restored
✔ Final assembly underway

Every stage of the rebuild is completed to manufacturer specifications because when equipment returns to site, reliability isn't negotiable.

There’s a lot that goes into the work we do at Paton Diesel Services: technical knowledge, problem-solving, precision and plenty of hands-on experience.
