What a two days.

We were genuinely run off our feet with the level of interest in SafePave®.

What stood out most wasn’t just the volume of conversations — it was how consistent the message was:

The highlight?
Dropping a sledgehammer onto a 20mm limestone tile… and it didn’t crack.

SafePave® is a range of engineered reinforcement and structural support systems for pedestal-supported raised floor paver applications. It strengthens the underside of porcelain, natural stone and similar paving materials to improve crack containment, impact resistance and load distribution without changing the finished surface appearance. It is designed for areas like rooftop terraces, podium decks and balconies, helping improve safety while reducing breakage, repairs and project delays.

We’re excited to announce the official launch of SafePave® by Clever Building Products at Sydney Build Expo this April.

Tiles used in raised pedestal systems can fail without warning — creating risks of injury, costly damage, and project liability. SafePave® has been developed to change that.

Our new system strengthens porcelain and natural stone tiles used in pedestal applications, helping improve impact resistance, structural performance, and overall safety in elevated flooring systems.

Video showing the strength of SafePave. Two tiles tested to breaking point. One untreated, the second has the SafePave strengthening layer. Measured by point load in kg.
Even with this great result, we are still working to increase the strength further.

Did our first on site tile protection last week. Easier than we thought. We successfully treated 109 x 600 x 400 x 30mm Natural travertine tiles that had been laid on pedestals.
Lifted them, applied the safepave protection and replaced them. Took less than a day with minimal disruption to the client. Learnt some lessons for next time and we were just as happy as the client. Thank you
