Today we’re celebrating an incredible milestone for Jack Tilley ~ 10 years with Baden Civil! 👏

Jack, thank you for a decade of loyalty, dedication and excellence. To say you’re one of the best final trim operators in the industry would be an understatement. Your skill, precision and attention to detail are second to none, but it’s the man behind the controls that we’re most grateful for.

You’re patient, dependable, always willing to lend a hand, and the kind of teammate everyone enjoys working alongside. Our clients have enormous respect for you, and so do we. You take pride in everything you do, you look after our machinery as though it’s your own, and you represent Baden Civil with professionalism every single day.

In an industry where good people are hard to find, people like you are even rarer! We’re incredibly proud to have had you as part of the Baden Civil family for the past ten years. Thank you for everything you’ve contributed to our business, our team and our culture. We genuinely can’t imagine Baden Civil without you Jack!

After an extraordinary 14-year innings with our company, Peter has officially decided to hang up his boots and retire. Back in 2012, then aged 63, Peter walked up the office steps for an interview (fresh from knee surgery) and from that day onward it felt like a male version of Mary Poppins had blown into Brit's very busy working-mum-of-three life. Calm under pressure, capable and seemingly able to fix absolutely anything with a spreadsheet, he immediately changed the game for our growing business.

Peter became our MYOB guru, spreadsheeting superstar and all-round book keeping weapon. If there was a number or invoice out of place, Peter would find it. If there was a process that could be improved, Peter already had a spreadsheet for it. And much like a good Test cricketer, he never sought applause - he just kept quietly piling on the runs day after day, year after year, which in turn gave Brit back precious time with our kids when they were little.

Peter has worked tirelessly for Baden Civil with loyalty, flexibility, patience and good humour. He has been the kind of teammate every cricket dressing room hopes for - reliable, generous with his knowledge, always willing to help others at the crease….and never without a good (and sometimes long-winded) cricket/footy related story.

While retirement may mean Peter is officially 'walking back to the sheds', we suspect he’ll still be keeping one eye on the scoreboard for a while yet and mentally cursing our transition to Xero from afar.

Peter, thank you for an incredible innings. The contribution you’ve made to our business simply cannot be overstated. We are enormously grateful for your dedication, reliability, trustworthiness and accounting wisdom over the last 14 years.

From all the team at Baden Civil we wish you a very happy retirement ~ filled with cricket watching, armchair umpiring, vegetable growing, table tennis tournamenting, trivia night hosting, good health, relaxation and ABSOLUTELY NO SPREEDSHEETS unless recreational in nature.

You’ll be greatly missed, Peter Poppins. Our gratitude knows no bounds!
