It turns the laptop's built-in or a USB microphone into a live engine stethoscope — capturing sound in raw mode (bypassing Windows mic effects), running a real-time FFT, and displaying a spectrogram, spectrum, and RPM-locked crank-order cursors (fed from the OBD link) with record/replay and healthy-baseline A/B comparison — so a technician can see which noises track the engine and how a suspect one differs from known-good.
