🔧 980K rear trunnion overhaul 🔥
While on site for another machine, our customer asked us to inspect their CAT 980K after reporting a grinding noise.

Our inspection pointed to trunnion wear — grease issues, creaking, and signs it had been going on for a while. We greased what we could on site, flagged the problem, then sourced parts and scheduled the repair before it turned into a bigger failure.

Back on site at Brendale, our team stripped it down — rear axle out, trunnions disassembled and cleaned, all new parts fitted, new grease lines run, axle refitted with new hardware, brakes bled, tyres back on, and machine fully tested.

Fully overhauled, fully tested, fully ready for work.
