Learn Cake Decorating in the Hills. A great place to share any cake decorating ideas, challenges, finds and about my in home small sized cake decorating classes. My name is Lydia, I am a stay at home Mum to 3 girls. I ran a cake decorating business for 5 years (have been decorating for 10) however after moving out of the area and needing to take care a family member I had to stop taking orders. I
love the idea of being able to teach others about cake decorating; it is such a fun and rewarding hobby. I completely understand that the cost of professional cake courses is out of reach for many who just want to make great cakes at home for friends and family, and that the expensive tools can be a bit scary. My classes are designed to keep the price as low as possible and be creative with equipment so that you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars. How do my classes work? There are two ways you can do classes with me.
1. I will list in home sessions on facebook, they have a maximum of 5 people per class, run for three hours and cost $40 - $80 per person depending on the class, please note that you do need to supply some of your own equipment, but I do supply a list of what you need, and costing. You can also buy the kit from me if it is easier. An example is for ‘The Introduction to fondant class’, the kit costs $15.
2. You can hold a class in your own home with your friends, you just need 4 people (including yourself) and I will come to you and teach you and your friends in your own kitchen how to make these fantastic creations. My style of teaching is very open, I will share all my tricks and tips and we will have lots of fun. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Im always working on new class ideas, however if you have any ideas I would happily cater to your needs. It’s a great way to learn something new, and meet like-minded locals.
