Water Journeys 🌊🗺️📍
New First Nations sculpture has been added to the Migration Public Art Trail.
Designed by First Nations artist Simone Thomson Art, the sculpture takes the form of a traditional canoe, symbolising migration, cultural journeys, and deep connections to place.
Crafted in Corten steel with a natural rusted finish and stainless-steel elements, the work is anchored on natural rock and can be seen at the entrance to Station Pier.
This is a Port Melbourne Shopping Precinct initiative and funded by a State Government grant. The project has been supported by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action and the City of Port Phillip.
