Lohmann & Rauscher ( L&R ) - Southeast Asia and our partner in Philippines, Zafire Distributors, Inc. are honored to have participated in the 30th Postgraduate Course of the UP-PGH Department of Dermatology, entitled “UNCHARTED,” held last May 8, 2026 at Shangri-La Plaza.

This milestone event marked the department’s first post-graduate course on Advanced Wound Care Management, featuring insightful lectures and a hands-on workshop focused on basic skills and advanced wound care management.

We are also proud to share a talk on “Holistic Modern Wound Care Solutions for Dermatology,” highlighting our comprehensive portfolio of modern wound care solutions, from Debrisoft to Suprasorb lines, as well as compression therapy products, from Venosan to Rosidal lines.

We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who visited our booth, joined the workshop, and exchanged valuable insights with us. We look forward to continuing collaborations that advance dermatologic and wound care practices across the Philippines.

Last February 25 – 27, 2026, L&R Southeast Asia Team recently completed an intensive three-day training program designed to strengthen expertise in Wound Management and Advanced Compression Therapy of our Philippines partner, Zafire Distributors, Inc. The sessions combined knowledge assessments, in-depth portfolio refreshers, hands-on clinical workshops, bandaging practicums, case simulations, and mock presentations to reinforce both technical competence and clinical communication.



From accurately matching wound pathologies to appropriate therapeutic solutions to confidently presenting compression strategies, the team demonstrated strong engagement and professionalism throughout the program. We believe this initiative will further equip the team to confidently face on-field challenges and deliver evidence-based solutions that improve patient outcomes.

Last January 24, we proudly partnered with Philippine Orthopedic Wound Care & Diabetic Limb Society (POWCDLS) in the last leg of FOOTSTEPS Wound Care Caravan—Focused Outreach On Training and Service Towards Elevating Practice in Specialized Wound Care. This nationwide initiative continues to fulfill its mission of combining education, clinical service, and skills enhancement to uplift wound care practices across the Philippines, with a special focus on diabetic limb and orthopedic-related wounds.



The caravan brought together more than 130 healthcare professionals all eager to deepen their understanding of advanced wound care and limb preservation. The morning session focused on comprehensive lectures highlighting key clinical topics, highlighting a wide range of L&R Suprasorb advanced dressings and compression products.



In the afternoon, participants engaged in hands-on workshops, allowing for a deeper dive into the practical application of theories and detailed product demonstrations. These were divided into three core components: Debridement, Modern Wound Care Dressing, and Negative Pressure Wound Therapy—all showcasing the complete L&R wound care portfolio.



Beyond demonstrations, the program included three actual Diabetic Foot Ulcer patients, where products such as Suprasorb LiquaCel Ag, Debrisoft Pad, Mollelast Haft, and Rosidal TCS were utilized in real clinical settings.



As the caravan continues its journey across regions, it leaves behind more than shared knowledge, it leaves lasting FOOTSTEPS in the advancement of wound care excellence and limb salvage practices throughout the Philippines.

Strengthening Partnership with our Philippine Distributor—Zafire Distributors Inc., (ZDI). We hosted ZDI Business Leader, Ms Bernice Chamorro, last November 17 to 19 at our Austria Headquarters and Factory. We had a tour and workshop with our Research and Development, Service and Maintenance, Global Marketing, and Customer Service Teams. It’s a joint commitment in ensuring only the best quality products are being delivered to our customers, and a shared responsibility in uplifting healthcare practices in the Philippines.

Last December 6, Lohmann & Rauscher ( L&R ) together with our distributor in Philippines, Zafire Distributors, Inc. proudly took part in the first wound care workshop in Alaminos, Pangasinan titled “FOOTSTEPS Caravan—Focused Outreach On Training and Service Towards Elevating Practice in Specialized Wound Care” in partnership with the Philippine Orthopedic Wound Care & Diabetic Limb Society (POWCDLS).

The caravan gathered over 200 healthcare professionals from various municipalities of Pangasinan, all eager to deepen their understanding of advanced wound care and limb salvage techniques.

Ten comprehensive lectures were delivered, highlighting key clinical topics and featuring a wide array of L&R Suprasorb advanced dressings, Suprasorb CNP P3 NPWT machine and compression products. The speakers also guided participants through three essential stations in modern wound care: Debridement; Dressing Selection and Application; and the Use of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy. Across all the stations, we were able to showcase our Debrisoft, Suprasorb Dressings, Suprasorb CNP P3, and Suprasorb CNP Easydress.

Right after the lectures, they had two actual patient demonstration wherein our Suprasorb Liquacel Ag and Mollelast Haft were used, clearly illustrating the advantages, ease of use, and clinical efficacy of our products.

The Wound Care Caravan is more than just a sequence of lectures — it’s a caring movement. It fosters early attention, supports thoughtful wound assessment, and encourages using modern, effective techniques. Its mission is simple but powerful: helping prevent amputations, shorten hospital stays, and most importantly, bring dignity, healing, and renewed hope to people’s lives.

Lohmann & Rauscher ( L&R ) together with our distributor in Philippines, Zafire Distributors, Inc. proudly participated in the Philippine Association of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery (PAPRAS) Surgical Synergy Session during the Philippine College of Surgeons Annual Convention 2025 held at EDSA Shangri-la Manila.

The session highlights the fusion of classic mastery and modern technology. We proudly showcased our Suprasorb dressing portfolio, Debrisoft, ReadyWrap and Venosan compression stockings.



After the scientific sessions, we were honored to join the society’s year-end celebration, an opportunity that further strengthened our partnership with PAPRAS and reaffirmed our commitment to providing high-quality products for the benefit of Filipino patients.
