When infrastructure becomes art — DNA-inspired pedestrian bridge in Seattle 🌉🧬

Not every bridge is just about getting from one side to the other.
In Seattle, this 120-meter pedestrian bridge does something more — it tells a story.

Designed by Johnson Architecture, the structure draws inspiration from a spiral DNA helix, subtly guiding visitors toward the biotech campus of Amgen. Clad with GKD’s TIGRIS and LAGO stainless steel mesh, the façade brings movement, lightness, and identity to the entire structure.

The carefully detailed mesh panels create a dynamic visual experience while maintaining structural precision — proving once again how architectural mesh can transform infrastructure into a landmark.
