Why should you use a custom box for coffee for special releases? We asked Francesco Masciullo, Head of Coffee at Ditta Artigianale: https://mtpak.coffee/2026/06/why-custom-box-for-coffee-special-releases/

Key takeaways:

📌 A box for coffee signals exclusivity and elevates perceived product value in ways that standard retail bags cannot.

📌 Smaller boxed formats, such as 100g releases, make high-cost specialty coffees more commercially accessible without diluting their premium positioning.

📌 Layered packaging storytelling – using inserts, wrap bands, and introductory cards – transforms the unboxing ritual into part of the product itself.

Packaging is a canvas for you to tell stories, show off your branding, and most importantly, engage consumers. Uncommon Coffee Roasters understands the power of packaging in shaping these consumer experiences.

“We are big fans of seasonal packaging and packaging in general telling a story,” Uncommon Coffee Roasters’ Marketing Director, Lara Parent, told us.

“Currently, our bags are recyclable. We ship a lot of coffee to our wholesale and retail customers, and the bags need to be strong enough to hold up in transport,” she explains.
