Engineering precision meets thermal excellence. 🔧
Some projects demand more than standard design practices. This was one of them.

We recently worked on a Buoyant Tube Heat Exchanger developed for supercritical hydrocarbon preheating, engineered to operate under sustained high pressure and high temperature conditions in critical process environments.

This vertical tube-in-tube configuration leverages natural convection to enhance turbulence within the system. The result is improved thermal efficiency, lower pressure drop, reduced fouling, and stable long-term performance within a compact footprint.

The technical challenge centered on its construction.

Two concentric tube bundles form the core of the exchanger. The inner bundle, designed without baffles or supports, is precisely inserted into the larger outer bundle. Maintaining alignment across a 9.6 meter length required tight fabrication control to ensure structural integrity, pressure containment, and consistent thermal performance.
